Writing

Left Handed Writing takes special care in teaching but is also made easier if the notebooks and pens are suited to the task.  If a left handed child is only permitted to write with the left hand but not taught how to write, the child may develop an uncomfortable, inefficient and messy form of writing that will stay with them into adulthood.

Languages that are written left-to-right, like English, are physically challenging to write with the left hand.  For a right handed person the pen is pulled towards the hand and the hand itself is resting on the blank paper not yet written on.  But Left Handed Writing requires pushing the pen away from the hand and likely smearing the letters just written as your hand pushes across the words.  The solution? At Lefty World we have left handed pens with quick drying ink so they are not prone to smearing as much and designed to fit comfortably in the left hand.

Left Handed Writing is also assisted when the left handed notebooks are designed for ease of the different paper slant and hand not resting on the binding.
